We are a visual studio based in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. We specialize in art, graphic design, illustration and photography. In photography we have a keen interest in Hawai‘i’s nature and wildlife, especially in birds. This website is our online portfolio as well as our online shop for print products. Various kinds of automated prints and digital downloads are available at our Automated Print & Download Center. Free stock photos and illustrations will be available soon for anyone to download and use for any project.
What’s ʻelepaio?
The ʻElepaio is a monarch flycatcher endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. There are three species of the ʻElepaio, each occurring on Kaua‘i, O‘ahu and Hawai‘i Island. Curious and friendly, the ʻElepaio is one of the most popular forest birds among birders in Hawai‘i.
Who does the work?
All artworks, graphic designs and photographs at Studio Elepaio are created by Hayataro Sakitsu, Studio Elepaio’s principal Creative Director. He was born and raised in Kumamoto, Japan, and has lived in Hawai‘i since 2001. The photo here is Hayataro Sakitsu at Waimea Canyon Lookout, Kaua‘i.
